ASAP SAVES $1 BILLION EVERY YEAR
In January 2026, Synapse Energy Economics released their "Sunlight & Storage Into Savings" report.

This report shows that if New York deploys 20 gigawatts of distributed solar and meets its distributed energy storage targets by 2035, it could save New Yorkers $1 billion in wholesale energy costs.

These benefits flow across the State, saving all New Yorkers money on their electric utility bills.
